Comments: Found this site and reminiscing about one of my favourite and most memorable trips ever! It's been 9 years but feels like yesterday. My mom and I did a big trip flew to Boston MA and did a driving trip through Maine, to New Brunswick across to Halifax NS and down the east coast back to the west coast and final stay in Breier Island at the lodge and whale watching hiking around the island the wonderful light house - seals, puffins! I loved the puffins we saw out on the Zodiac boats whale watching - we saw a rare Right whale and they took us where the whales were it was such a networking with the other boats! Just can't say enough about the people of Nova Scotia - Highly recommend it!!

Comments: Hi I was checking out your site because in researching my Grandfather's family history I found that he lived on Briers's Island for 6 years from 19336-1942 or thereabouts. He was a cobbler by the name of Norman A. (Normie) DeViller from Yarmouth area. I would love to see some pictures of the Island around that time frame. I wonder if there is such a site that has older photographs on them. I must admit to being ignorant of the place until I began to do his geneology and I am very eager to see it in person now. Your site is fabulous, the photos just great and I can't wait to visit your beautiful Island.
Thanks Betty

Comments: Met the owner at a local community theatre, suggested I check out the site. Am interested in traveling by RR across Canada in a few years and this looks like a great starting place. Thanks for the tip. Will keep checking in to learn about traveling across your country.

Comments: Just came upon this website while searching for the previous Brier Island.org site that used to exist, with all the old photos on it from Brier Island's historic past. Good job on this, with nice imagery and information, but the driving time from the first ferry at Tiverton to the second ferry at Freeport is not 25 minutes, but more like ten minutes drive.
